Fine Art - The Products of human creativity; works of art collectively.

fine art noun
1. art produced mainly for its aesthetic value.
2. as the name of a college or university course: a course combining art history and sometimes practical art tuition.
3. (usually fine arts) painting, drawing, sculpture and architecture; the arts that appeal to the sense of beauty.

For an insight into my interpretation of the term "fine art" please visit my "About Me" page and the gallery pages here. One of my earliest memories of photography is my grandfather's collection of glass negatives from the early part of the last century.

Clearly his love of photography is in my blood as I have pursued the art of photography avidly over the years, first as a hobby, and then later in a professional capacity.

I studied for my Licentiateship of The Royal Photographic Society at what is now The Arts Institute at Bournemouth in England and now specialise in stunning and detailed photographic portrayals of British wildlife and landscapes.

Other genres of photographic interest include still life and macro work, as well as studio portraits.

Digital photography now being the industry standard, I have become skilled at reproducing the traditional darkroom photography techniques I have honed over the years by more technological means, using both traditional and digital photography.
